Developmental Editing

Our expert editor will read your fiction or non-fiction manuscript and provide you with a thorough edit letter. This includes a one-hour phone call to discuss your edits, as well as follow up emails as necessary. This does not include line editing, which can either be added on, or done subsequently.


Starts at $500 for a manuscript between 20,000 and 50,000 words

Starts at $750 for a manuscript between 50,000 and 100,000 words

Line Editing

Copy Editing

Our editor will read your manuscript for compliance with the style guide of your choice. This type of editing focuses on finding errors in consistency, grammar, and spelling. Light comments about writing style and content may also be included.

Proof Reading

An experienced proofreader will review the proofs of your design. This service focuses on typography, errors, and consistency in both writing and design.

Meet the Coaches


Bremer graduated from Stevenson University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature. He obtained his graduate degree in Creative Writing and Publishing from the University of Baltimore. Bremer has published magazine articles in Limerence, news articles in The Villager, poems and fiction stories in The Beacon, Spectrum, Welter, Quail Bell Magazine, Ohio Edit, Eskimopie, Beyond Science Fiction, fictionontheweb, Prose Works, and more. Bremer looks forward to helping fiction writers improve their craft.


Jessica received her Masters in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts at the University of Baltimore’s. As a published fiction writer, composition teacher, and writing consultant, she is a qualified coach who can assist you with both creative and academic writing. Jessica is most interested in helping authors understand and improve their writing processes.


Justin holds his MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts at the University of Baltimore. Previously, Justin was co-founder and editor of the Artichoke Haircut literary magazine and host of the You’re Allowed reading series. He is also an instructor in English composition and rhetoric. Justin is an understanding and qualified tutor for both academic and creative writing.


Kate is a full time freelance writer & editor, specializing in compassionate and thorough critiques. Previously, she worked as a children’s book editor at Simon & Schuster, where she edited and acquired 30+ original novels, including the Coretta Scott King/ John Steptoe Award-winning The Rock and the River by Kekla Magoon. Kate attended VCFA for her MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults, and specializes in MG, YA, NA, & literary fiction. She loves novels that contain at least a little bit of magic.


Kristen received her MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts at UB where she also served as a teaching assistant and a writing consultant. Kristen has her TESOL certificate and taught English as a Second Language for over ten years, both in the classroom and as a private tutor. She loves to encourage other writers to find their academic and creative voice.


Mia worked as a teaching assistant and a Writing Center tutor at the University of Baltimore, where she inspired students to keep trying. She also writes for the UB Post and has designed for multiple literary publications. She is a skilled coach in academic writing, design, journalism, and all creative writing genres.


Michael has an MFA in Creative Writing. He has been published in over 35 magazines and journals. He runs a reading series, publishes journals and writes reviews and columns for established websites. He is an enthusiastic coach who will assist in your writing and in getting your work into the world.


Tracy is a writer, editor, teacher, and marketer. She has taught or assisted with creative writing, journalism, marketing writing, and composition courses for The University of Baltimore, Betamore, Georgetown, the Content Marketing Institute, and MarketingProfs. She believes writing is a tool for empowerment.
